POV: You’ve watched countless chiropractic cracking videos or “Before and After” videos of chiropractic patients.
Most of us would assume that you will just need to come down for an appointment, allow the Chiropractor to adjust your back or neck, and you’d be sure to feel better permanently after a SINGLE session.
All these cracking, tugging, pushing, and pulling seems to be the one thing that is holding you back from achieving that pain-free lifestyle that many dreams about. That dream of having a healthy body that doesn’t affect your daily activities, getting rid of that thorn in the flesh that bugs you from the moment your open your eyes in the morning.
The truth is that the rate of recovery from your condition will be based on these 2 factors:
- Chronicity (Duration of the problem)
- The severity of the condition
Scientific evidence has also shown that it takes somewhere between 8 to 12 visits on average to feel a significant improvement.
But what ACTUALLY goes on behind a professional Chiropractic Service? We will be sharing what you can expect from a typical chiropractic session at Neo Chiropractic. This way, you will be better prepared to make full use of the time there to reap the benefits of Chiropractic Adjustments!
These benefits include:
- Muscle Spasm Relief
- Pain Reduction
- Increased Joint Mobility
- Relief from Tension & Cervicogenic Headaches
- and MORE!
Step 1: Getting to know you better!
We would first like to get to know more about you and your concerns. We will be asking you about your health, symptoms, conditions, pre-existing injuries, etc.
Step 2: General Testing & Examinations!
Our professional Chiropractor will conduct a battery of tests for you! (Another awesome benefit of chiropractic care!)
Step 3: Let’s Get You Cracking & Moving! (The Treatment)
It is at this stage where some of our past patients thought “it was going to hurt”. However, all these misconceptions and myths have been dispelled. You can find a list of common myths and fears about chiropractic treatment here!
Most people think that this is when chiropractors will be doing all the work, and all we must do is lie down on the comfortably padded table. However, like most relationships, it takes two hands to clap.
You can think of it this way, there are 2 kinds of approaches:
- Passive Approach
- Active Approach
In the early stages of the treatment plan, it begins with passive care. This is where our experienced chiropractors will be administering the treatment (close to what you’ve seen in videos), however, it slowly changes to active care as we progress towards the end of the treatment plan. When it comes to active care, you will be doing exercises, stretches, and rehabilitation.
Passive care helps with immediate pain relief, but active care keeps you functional in the long term. Do drop us your questions here!
